Life... What's Up With Yours?

This dynamic
approach to youth and young adult bible study is a
gripping soul connecting guide to understanding biblical
principles. It is also an energetic interpersonal view of thought
provoking life stories that provide enlightenment for those who are
interested in the mystery of a faith walk with Jesus Christ. Each
session centers the discussion group’s attention on the plight of
the many different characters whose stories are woven throughout the
series. The characters are socialized urbanites whose behavior may be
familiar to some, or offer enlightenment to others. If you have a
passion to capture the attention of urban youth and young adults, this
book must be added to your teaching arsenal.

The Best Me I Can
be!!!
3) Refer to yourself by words that represent confidence, determination,
and the grace of God.
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but
when the desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life. Proverbs
13:12 (Amplified Bible)
Story:
There are several students at school who are F-I-N-E. The sun
rises and sets by the intensity of their smiles. You look at these
people, then look at yourself and wonder why you don’t command
that much attention. Maybe attention is the wrong word. You
are not the type of person who people go out of their way to get to
know. What is it about some people that makes the world stop to let
them get on board, while for other people, the world will roll right by
as if they don’t exist? The ordinary people have to take a
running start to jump onto the world if they want to participate.
Is being “ordinary” a state of mind or a matter of physical
appearance? People don’t have a problem throwing fat jokes my
way. They love to remind me about my big lips, thick thighs,
protruding teeth, and big head. They call me Big Head, Frog Legs,
Big Foot, Big Mack, Thunder Thighs, and more. I can get mad
because they don’t call me F-I-N-E. The behavior of others
will never stop me from being the best me I can be. Call me what you
want. I will call myself W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L.
W – Willing to
O – Obey authority and
N – Not be
D – Destroyed by
E – Evil
R – Rude
F – Fake people because I have the
U – Unlimited ability to
L – Love
Only labels that reflect the attributes of God are acceptable in my
space. My space is precious. My space is comfortable.
My space includes the best person I know. My space includes me.
